Construction
I/C: Iron Composite (iron sides normally with elm bottom and pitch pine keelson)
M/S: Mild Steel throughout
W: Wood (normally elm bottom, pitch pine keelson, oak sides).
Speedwell – The company’s records indicate this boat was dismantled in September 1925 and her hull was sold to be cut up in October 1926. She was, however, recorded at Berkhamsted on 14th September 1927 with the butty Greet and at Nottingham on 11th April 1928. It seems strange that the company would carry on with just this one steamer having converted, or scrapped, all the rest.
