More Polesworth Paintings A while ago a visiting lady picked up a copy of Autumn 2010 NarrowBoat in my house and commented on the Polesworth Painting article. She was born and grew up in Polesworth as did her mother who is now 92. Her mother knew the Atkins well and it transpired they had gifted her some painted items. These are three stools and a water can of which I have taken photographs. Although the stools are decorated with roses around the sides and ends, the top surface in each case shows a scene in Polesworth, alas now gone. Peter Oakden, by email…
