In the Historical Profile of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal (Autumn 2007 NB) you asked about the unusual paddle gear on this canal as seen in the photograph on page 12. There is a photograph, originally from the Worcester Evening News, of Stoke Prior Locks under repair in 1894 and clearly showing this type of paddle gear.
