Now butty Lyra has caught up with the motor Hadley waiting above Top Lock 1. Syd Mitchell pulls Lyra into the lock against a large amount of white foam that has built up there. The pair came to Baddesley loading basin from the north, most likely from Birmingham via the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal, or ‘Bottom Road’ as it was known, onto the Coventry Canal at Fazeley Junction.…
